Officially Britain’s Best Cake!

We did it! Abba Cakes won the top award at Britain’s Best Cake Awards 2025 with our celebrated ‘The Chocolate Cake’ officially winning the title of ‘Britain’s Best Cake’ and also winning the Classic Cake award at the same time.

The awards took place at the NEC in Birmingham on the 7th of April 2025 as part of the UK Food and Drinks Show.

Judges considered it one of the best presented products in the line-up and were enamoured by the “beautiful piping skills”, done in a vintage-style (like a Lambeth cake) which has come back on trend recently. “It’s described as a very dense chocolate, so does exactly what it says on the tin,” said one judge. – Excerpt from British Baker
